Most cabinet problems are fixable — and fixable for a fraction of what a full remodel would cost. A leaking dishwasher supply line rots out a sink base. Ten years of soft-close-that-never-was slams take out the hinge mounts. A shelf groans and finally cracks under a stack of dinner plates. In Plano's older housing stock, all of these show up regularly, and none of them require demolishing a working kitchen.

Our repair and restoration work covers the whole spectrum — a two-hour hinge swap on a builder-grade vanity in an Allen or McKinney starter home, a full sink-base rebuild in a 1980s Central Plano kitchen, veneer patching on a heirloom buffet in a Preston Hollow study, and post-plumbing-failure insurance repairs anywhere in Collin County. Because we're a working shop with a spray booth, we can also refinish the repaired piece to blend, not just leave you with a mismatched patch.

If repairs snowball and it starts to make more sense to replace, we'll say so plainly and route you toward custom design and fabrication or refacing and refinishing. Otherwise, visualize proposed fixes with 3D rendering, add trim upgrades with custom millwork, and use our own crew for any new-cabinet installation.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of cabinet damage do you repair?

Water damage under sinks, delaminating veneer, broken drawer boxes, sagging shelves, failed hinges and slides, cracked face frames, chipped and worn finishes, and pet or child damage on lower doors. Most of it is fixable.

Can you rebuild a swollen sink base cabinet?

Yes. In many Plano homes we replace only the bottom deck and stiles of a water-damaged sink base, treat the surrounding wood, and re-veneer or refinish to blend with the rest of the run.

How long does a typical repair take?

Small drawer or hinge repairs are usually one visit, 1–3 hours on site. Water-damage rebuilds run 3–7 days depending on scope. We give a written timeline before starting.

Do you repair antique or heirloom furniture cabinets too?

Yes. Our millwork team restores built-in china cabinets, antique buffets, and heirloom pieces — French polish repair, veneer patching, and matching aged stain color are all in-house.

Can you match my existing stain color?

Almost always. We take a door or drawer front to the shop, mix custom stain and topcoat to match sheen and color, and finish the repair to blend. On badly faded finishes we recommend refinishing the full run for consistency.

Are cabinet repairs worth it, or should I replace?

If the box is solid wood or ¾-inch plywood and the damage is localized, repair is 20–30% of replacement cost. If particle board is delaminating in more than one place, replacement usually makes more sense.

Do you replace failed hinges and drawer slides?

Yes — we swap tired 1990s hinges and side-mount slides for Blum Blumotion soft-close hinges and Tandembox undermount slides, which is often the single biggest quality upgrade a homeowner can make for under $500.

Can you fix cabinets damaged by movers or contractors?

Yes. We work with insurance adjusters directly and provide itemized repair estimates for claims on job-site damage from remodels, movers, or plumbing failures.
